Suez Cement and its affiliated companies, Helwan Cement Company and Tourah Portland Cement Company, already donated 95% of the cement needed for the construction of the hospital which is one of the largest hospitals in the world dedicated to pediatric cancer care as well as it is a source of light and hope for the Egyptian and Arab children.
“Suez Cement has clearly identified the protection of children’s rights, especially the right to have access to health care and education, as a special issue of its social responsibility strategy” - Mr. Roberto Callieri outlined – “We are very glad to support the 57357 Children’s Cancer Hospital and we strongly believe that the cyclotron therapy will enhance the quality of life of the Egyptian children with cancer and their families”.
This hospital meets the international standards of healthcare for children with cancer and aim at providing effective management and treatment systems encompassing cancer prevention, treatment, education and research for children with cancer and their families regardless of race, creed, or ability to pay. It provides also a teaching facility and serves as a model in the Arab world of how excellence in the care of children can be achieved through collaboration and integration of medical knowledge from the most scientifically advanced sources world wide.
The Children’s Cancer Hospital has been designed by Jonathan Bailey Associates, the leading architectural firm specialized in health care architecture. The services provided by the leading architectural firm “Jonathan Bailey” include the campus master plan, facility master plan, programming, architectural design as well as interior design.
