Italcementi Group, through its Spanish subsidiary FYM, participates in the initiative "Stop CO2 Euskadi - Action against climate change" sponsored by the Basque Office on Climate Change. The project aims at gathering public and private sectors along with citizens towards the common goal of reducing CO2 emissions in the atmosphere.

In the frame of Italcementi Group’s commitment to environmental sustainability, Fabrizio Pedetta FYM Managing Director, signed the agreement to join the “Stop CO2 Euskadi” initiative. Today, more than in the past, Basque companies are aware of sharing the same goal in order to create a favourable environment for the many changes that we ought to face. Taking action on climate change and promoting innovation are fundamental steps to ensure a better future and to move towards a more sustainable economy.

The public presentation of the local initiative took place in the presence of the Director of the Environment and Territory Regulation, Esther Larrañaga and local administrations, such as the City Governments of Bilbao, Vitoria-Gasteiz, Balmaseda, Tolosa, Amurrio and Areatza, have formalised their participation in Stop CO2 Euskadi.
