European Works Council

The European Works Council (EWC) is an employee representation body entitled to information and consultation regarding transnational questions that significantly affect the interests of the Group at European level.

Italcementi's EWC was established on 28 June 1995 on a voluntary and shared basis by and between Italcementi and the Italian trade unions under the patronage of EFBWW, the European Federation of Building and Woodworkers, exercising the right referred to in European Directive 94/45 of 2/9/1994 and before the incorporation into Italian law of the said Directive.

The training course on "The role of Italcementi EWC for Sustainable Development and Corporate Social Responsibility" took place from 16 to 19 January 2007. 
The course was destined to EWC members and will improve the dialogue between internal stakeholders with a positive impact on all Group employees. 
The training course took place in Bergamo, Italcementi Group headquarter, and it was financed by the European Commission.
